Part 2 - ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Each certification level has individual eligibility requirements. Eligibility requirements may include required education and training, work history requirements and ability to perform specific essential duties. The eligibility requirements and essential duties for Level I certification are described for Level I in the PEARL Certification Handbook.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

An applicant can qualify for Level I Certification by meeting EITHER the Education or the Work Experience Requirements.

QUALIFYING BY EDUCATION

FOR LEVEL I CERTIFICATION AN APPLICANT MUST HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR AN EQUIVALENT GED. If you are satisfying the PEARL education eligibility requirements using your education, then continue to the section below called Educational Institution Information.

IF YOU DO NOT SATISFY THE PEARL EDUCATION ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS, but want to qualify using your work experience, then skip this section and continue to the section below called Qualifying with Work Experience.

QUALIFYING WITH WORK EXPERIENCE (3-Years Work History)

LEVEL I CERTIFICATION ONLY REQUIRES WORK EXPERIENCE IF YOU DO NOT QUALIFY FOR CERTIFICATION BASED ON THE ABOVE EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (High School Diploma or Equivalent GED).

TO QUALIFY BASED ON WORK EXPERIENCE, please provide 3-years of Work Experience/History information below starting with your current or most recent employment. You do not have to complete the Work Experience section if you qualify based on the Education Eligibility Requirements. Work experience must be with-in the essential duties described in the PEARL Certification Handbook for Level I.

CERTIFICATE NAME SPELLING: To ensure the correct spelling of your name properly on your certificate, please accurately type your name as you would like it to appear. Include full middle name & suffixes such as II or Jr., if desired. [NOTE: PEARL will not print any other professional designation on your PEARL certificate.]



PART 4 - EXAM SCHEDULING

Once an applicant has received an acceptance letter through email they may schedule their exam. All exams are scheduled and delivered online using a web browser and are proctored through an authorized managed test center. The exam-scheduling email will provide the applicant all the instructions needed to schedule and take their exam. At exam time all candidates are required to show at least one valid government issued photo identification (state driver’s license or ID, or passport) and a copy of their acceptance letter. Only after positive identification has been made by the exam proctor may a candidate begin the exam.

Level I Certification Exam Fee: $195.00

Level I Certification Renewal Fee (good for 3 years): $ 45.00

Level I Certification Reactivation Fee (if within 1 year of due date): $ 75.00

Application Administration Fee (only applies if application is denied, canceled or withdrawn): $ 40.00
