Hands-on Technical Training: It’s getting H.O.T.T. in here! Control Circuits for Low Voltage Protective Devices
This hands-on technical training (H.O.T.T.) workshop is intended for electrical equipment reconditioning technicians interested in learning more about the various types of low voltage circuit breaker control schemes. The workshop focuses on analyzing electrical control circuits of an electrically operated (EO) breaker in the absence of drawing schematics. It also addresses how to develop and document schematic drawings in a safe manner while working on these circuits. Additionally, troubleshooting of instrument transformers (PTs and CTs), auxiliary switches and basic forensic assessment of the circuit breaker will be covered.
Location: National Training Center
Instructor: Steve Newton, EIT
