Join PEARL

When a company wants to join PEARL at any membership level, their application must be first reviewed by the Board/Membership Committee for approval.

Here is the process for joining:

  • Fill out application and submit or send information to info@pearl1.org.
  • Application is sent to Board for review and approval.
  • After approval is submitted, the application is processed and an invoice is sent to the incoming member company.
  • If an Associate member wants to upgrade to Full Membership, instructions will also be sent regarding a site inspection, along with instructions for adding other employees in the company to the system.

For companies wishing to become a full member, they must first apply as an associate member, be reviewed by the board, approved, and a site inspection is arranged. Based on the results of the inspection, they are then approved to be a Full Dealer Member or Full Service Member.

Full Dealer Members

Any distributor of reconditioned or recycled electrical power equipment and apparatus in the U.S., its territories or possessions, who in the judgement and determination of the PEARL Board of Directors, qualifies for membership as hereafter defined may become a Full Dealer member. To become a Full Dealer Member, PEARL Board of Directors approval is required.

Associate Members

Companies who have applied for full membership, but have not yet met all the requirements and have been site certified or who do not wish to be full members. An Associate Member is anyone engaged in the reselling or repair of electrical components that reconditions, tests, repackages or otherwise.

Full Service Members

Any service company that reconditions electrical power equipment and apparatus in the U.S. and its territories or possessions, who in the judgment and determination of the PEARL Board of Directors, qualifies for membership as hereinafter defined may become a Full Service member. To become a Full Service Member, PEARL Board of Directors approval is required.

Affiliate Members

A corporation may also have a nonvoting class of persons or entities designated as Affiliate Members. An affiliate is a person or entity whose interests are closely identified with those of the industry and PEARL and includes persons or entities which deliver products or services to the electrical industry or which deliver electrical products or services to industry but do not otherwise meet all of the qualifications for full membership.
