One of the most effective ways PEARL promotes electrical safety and reconditioned electrical equipment and services is by attending trade shows around the country to have some fun, meet prospective buyers and members, and explain PEARL’s standards-based value proposition.

Recently, PEARL members made a splash at the American Public Works Association. Brian Corekin, PEARL President and President of Monster Fuses (Portland, OR) and Michael Habeeb, Sales Representative for North American Switchgear, Inc. (Cleveland, OH), with support from PEARL’s PR Consultant, Winn Hardin, met with APWA Executive Director, Peter King, to discuss ways PEARL and APWA may be able to assist one another. Corekin and Habeeb also dropped off USB memory sticks and PEARL promotional materials to the several trade magazines exhibiting at the conference, leading to a news story on Revision 5 of PEARL’s electrical Technical Standards in an upcoming issue of APWA Reporter. A brand new PEARL Booth, brochures, and handouts had their back. It even made Brian look good.

PEARL’s Trade Association committee has been working hard the past year to promote the organization and get the word out, but we need volunteers to man the booth.
