Founded in 1997, PEARL - The Professional Electrical Apparatus Recyclers League - is the professional trade organization of companies that supply quality surplus and remanufactured electrical equipment and apparatus.
PEARL's members must meet strict technical, safety, and operational requirements; and are committed to the safe reconditioning and remanufacturing of electrical apparatus and equipment that has previously been in service.
Membership in PEARL is offered to those who qualify as recyclers, vendors, and associates.

PEARL is a member of ANSI - American National Standards Institue.
Buying surplus or remanufactured electrical products from a PEARL member ensures that you are buying from a reputable company that meets PEARL's membership requirements and standards for safety, testing, and remanufacturing.
Among other requirements, PEARL members must:
have annual sales exceeding one million dollars,
have a minimum of two million dollars in liability insurance, and
have at least three hundred thousand dollars in inventory.
Only product bearing the PEARL Quality Seal (blue or green) offers assurance that the product has been reconditioned or inspected and tested to PEARL Inspect & Test or Reconditioning standards.

PEARL sponsors an annual Electrical Safety, Reliability and Sustainability Conference & Exhibition which can be attended by anyone concerned with the safety and reliability of remanufactured and recycled electrical equipment and apparatus.
